How To Make Money As An Affiliate Marketer.

Nowadays everyone is leaning towards working from home for various reasons. In 2020, it was obvious but now that everyone has gotten a taste of what it’s like, they may be a bit more interested. Affiliate marketing is one way to do so. How to make money as an affiliate marketer may be a question you’re asking and could spark your interest.

What is an affiliate marketer?

If you’re a little unsure of what an affiliate marketer is, it is someone who sells other company’s items online. However, it is done in an easier way than you might think.

Through this process you do not need any inventory, believe it or not! It’s even easier than that! I will admit, at first it through my skeptical radar into orbit, however, with a bit of extra research on my part, I found that it is a legitimate way to earn a full-time income online.

Don’t get me wrong, it takes a lot of work and it isn’t a “get-rich-quick” scheme.

You are working for yourself and it requires a lot of discipline. You are your own boss. Which is what sparked my interest to begin with.

I am not a fan of living someone else’s dream and putting money in their pockets. I wanted to reach out and make this opportunity my own.

What is the process to make money?

The plan and simple version is you create a website based off of your own personal niche (something that you love to talk about) and you create content based off of it.

Once you have done this, you reach out to other companies in your related niche and sign up for their affiliate programs. Next, you create reviews around their products.

By creating consistent and quality content, you are driving people to your website, once they click on your links and purchase any items they are interested in, you receive a commission based off of what they purchased.

OK, that was a longer way of explaining it.

Creating a website can sound a bit daunting, however, it today’s world it is easier than you might think. Days of coding websites is a thing of the past.

There are several ways to make money and tons and tons of affiliate programs out there based off of literally any niche topic.

The only thing you have to do is try and try it consistently.

I have learned that it isn’t something you do once and forget about it thinking it will work for you.

You’ll learn a lot of how the internet world works when it analysis web pages.

How can I get started?

I knew literally nothing about how to create a website let alone how to get people to visit my site. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to do this without a little help.

The best place I found to help you learn the right way was through Wealthy Affiliate. They have in depth training and so much information about every aspect of affiliate marketing.

You know how some places when you’re lost and confused, you ask a question and you may or may not get an answer back? That isn’t the case here.

Not only can you reach out when you’re stuck on something but if you need technical help, there are people who actually answer you in a timely manner no less.

AND their training in impeccable! I didn’t feel so lost and any time I had a question, there’s an entire community of people to reach out to.

Not only that but if I needed to reference something or wasn’t sure how to do something, I would simply search for it in their “classes” section and BOOM I found an entire class to take where I learned something I didn’t know about and also how to apply it.

Is there a fee?

Along with the plethora of information out there online, there are also a lot of scammers out there attempting to get you to do the same things.

I have had my fair share of scammers and finally found Wealthy Affiliate. I was cautious of them at first thinking if they asked for a bunch of money upfront I was going to say “Audios.”

Fortunately, their program is free. Sounds crazy right? Those were my thoughts at first.

But nope, not crazy, you can sign up for free and get a free website to work with.

This gives you the opportunity to “test drive” it to see if it’s something you like. They don’t even ask for a credit card.

You have a 7-day trial where you also have access to all the coaching you need. Keeping in mind once the 7 days are up, you still have your website you can work with.

Afterwards, it is $49.00 a month as a premium member. I see the premium membership as a way to constantly learn and improve. For myself, I think of it as additional courses and paying for the knowledge I wouldn’t be able to get anywhere else for that price.

There are tons of people online shopping for literally anything and everything. Affiliate marketing is a way to be able to work from home and earn extra cash by creating websites to target those audiences with your same niche.

Granted there are pros and cons to working for yourself. I know I have had my fair share of being disciplined and consistent.

You don’t have someone breathing down your neck and telling you what to do. Which is a blessing but also you have to drive your own schedule and make it happen!

In today’s world of technology I figure why not make the most of being an affiliate marketer. There really isn’t anything to lose and a truck load of information to learn from.
