How does Wealthy Affiliate Work? – 2024 Wealthy Affiliate Review

In today’s world there is a plethora of “get-rich-quick” or “work-from-home” scams out there. It’s so rare to find one that is actually honest and gives accurate and helpful information for those who are looking to create a real business from home. One that stands out among the rest is Wealthy Affiliate. A burning question is how does Wealthy Affiliate work?

Here is my down to earth opinion of what Wealthy Affiliate is and what it has to offer those who are looking for a way to earn extra income from home.

The “how” of Wealthy Affiliate.

Wealthy Affiliate is a platform/program that was created by two gentlemen named Carson and Kyle in 2005. This platform allows for anyone and anybody regardless of their knowledge in marketing to create a business of their own through affiliate marketing.

They also provide you with ample and extensive training that guides you through the “in’s and out’s” of what affiliate marketing is, how to earn revenue, and how to create a very successful business of your own.

They also walk you through creating a website of your very own and how to apply for other affiliate marketing programs that are out there.

The nitty-gritty of how Wealthy Affiliate works.

The intense training encourages you to create a niche/topic that you feel you can talk about consistently and one that you love. Afterwards, you will create a website revolving around this niche.

The entire website creation is done within 30 seconds or so. You do not need to be a website guru for this to take place.

The program revolves around finding keywords and create content that ranks in the search engines. All of this information that is created is focused around your chosen niche. The point behind this is to get your website ranked within google. Why? So then you can get traffic to your website and then make money.

“Oh, but I can’t write.”

You do not need to be a writer or an English major to be able to create content online that makes money. People learn that you write like you’re talking to a friend and provide information that helps.

After that, they walk you through how to apply and use affiliate links within your content.

“So how to you earn money by doing this?”

If the people who view your website click on one of your affiliate links and purchase something, you earn a commission. The real key is consistency in writing your content, the rest follows.

So, how much is this going to cost me?

For those, like myself, who were a skeptic at first, had signed up for Wealthy Affiliate for free.

Yep, it’s free.

For one website, you can sign up with Wealthy Affiliate and not have to enter in any card information and start right away.

Granted, there’s limited resources available but just enough to get your feet wet and have a good understanding of how to get started.

Another option is to go “premium” with the program.

This offers you 3 websites and an unlimited amount of help and support from their community for $49/month.

There is another part to the program called the Premium Plus. This offers extensive training for $99/month. It also gives you 10 websites.

However, once you sign up, the rest is up to you. Just like with everything in life, it all depends on how hard you work.

You cannot expect to sign up and start making money right off the bat. It does take time. Just like with anything else in life. You can’t just know a valuable trade without learning about it first.

It’s just as easy to get caught up in the live chat function they have available or to feel a little overwhelmed with all the information that is available to you.

The pros and cons.

One of the reasons why I enjoyed Wealthy Affiliate is because the start up was free and their community is packed full of supportive members who are there to answer any of your questions.

Last week, I had asked a question and had 12 answers from other members within minutes.

Each week there’s a live training offered where you not only learn something new but you have an opportunity to ask questions as well.

Wealthy Affiliate offers hosting and website security for not only premium members but for free start-up members as well. It provides peace of mind.

In a Nutshell… what it is and what it isn’t…

What Wealthy Affiliate is not. It’s not a get-rich-quick scheme. In order to do well, you have to work hard and be consistent. Your mindset has to be that you are going to treat it as a business and not as a hobby.

One of the downsides of it would be if you do not have the money to go premium. The work around to this is to start earning money online to where you can. It just may take a bit longer.

I have learned so much about how to not only create content online that will benefit people who visit my site, but I also learned how SEO works, how to rank with Google, how affiliate marketing works and how to run an online business. 

Is it worth it? Or is it a scam

Having been a Wealthy Affiliate member for years, I have to tell you it’s completely worth it! At no point have I felt like it was one of those pyramid schemes nor did I feel like I was being scammed.

There was no pressure to go with their premium services and I have the option to go at my own pace.

By starting out with a free service, it really puts your mind at ease. You can witness and see the potential of what your business can become.

In my opinion, it’s one of the rare programs out there that is honest and actually provides you with what you’re looking for.
